If that continues it can cause tooth decay, cavities, lost or loose teeth and gum disease. All of these can cause infections that can spread throughout your body. A simple cavity or a case of gingivitis can quickly become an abscess or full-blown gum disease that requires major dental work. It is also important to look for changes in your teeth and gums.
