The first dental checkup for your kid should come within the first two years. They should be getting checked up every six months from then, just like any other person.

Routine Hygiene Checkups and Dental Exams

These are done, just like they would be done on an adult. It is important that you teach your kid to practice good oral hygiene and ensure they do. Even then, brushing and flossing at home is not enough. You still need to ensure your kid’s teeth have been professionally cleaned from time to time.

Soft Tissue Corrections

These are done to kids born with some special conditions. They mainly involve lip or tongue releases, or cleft lip repairs. These are restorative procedures that repair lip and tongue deformities that a kid might have been born with so that their mouth can function properly.

It is easy to conduct these restorative procedures while the kid is still young. They usually heal faster, and the results are much always much better.
